About Us

Who We Are

Raise the Colours is a grassroots movement born from a simple idea: when communities proudly fly their flags, they feel connected, energised, and united. What began in South Birmingham with a handful of people tying flags to lampposts has grown into a nationwide effort, spreading suburb by suburb and city by city across the UK.

Alongside our UK campaigns, Raise the Colours has also become known for its independent reporting and documentation. As shown across our social media channels, individuals connected to our movement have filmed and recorded events in northern France in order to uncover and expose what is happening around illegal Channel crossings. This reporting has reached hundreds of thousands of people and forms a key part of our wider effort to bring transparency to issues many feel are being ignored.

What We Stand For

We believe patriotism should be visible, positive and inclusive. Our flags are not about division — they are about belonging, togetherness, and celebrating the identity we hold in common. By raising the colours, we raise a message of unity and determination that can be seen on every street.

We are committed to lawful civic activism, public awareness, and political accountability. We do not encourage vigilante behaviour or unauthorised action of any kind. Our focus is on exposure, documentation, and ensuring the public can see what is happening for themselves, backed by evidence and transparency.

What We Do

  • Flags on display – From roundabouts to rooftops, we support and promote community efforts to put flags where everyone can see them, creating visible symbols of unity across the UK.

  • Local participation – Supporters across the country take part in lawful civic activity, helping to build connections within their own towns, cities and neighbourhoods.

  • Media, reporting and campaigning – We produce and share videos, blogs and updates to document what is happening on issues that matter to the public. This includes independent reporting from northern France, where footage shared on our social media channels has brought national attention to the realities surrounding illegal Channel crossings.

Why It Matters

At a time when many people feel disconnected or misled, we believe transparency matters. Symbols, footage and first-hand documentation help people understand what is really happening beyond headlines and political soundbites. Flying the flag and exposing uncomfortable truths both serve the same purpose: reminding people that we share a country, a responsibility, and a future.
